Teresa Goldberg, O.D. Dr. Goldberg is a 1978 graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. She received her degree for the treatment and management of ocular diseases in 1992. She has held the position of clinical instructor at the University of California School of Optometry at Berkeley. Dr. Goldberg is affiliated with Pacific Laser Eye Center to co-manage lasik patients. Dr. Goldberg speaks fluent Spanish and has directed the eye clinic at La Clinica de La Raza in Oakland. Dr. Goldberg's gentle touch and personal TLC bring smiles to her patients, especially children. Dr. Goldberg lives in Berkeley with her husband, children and her beloved labs.
Jessie L. Liu, O.D. Dr. Liu is a native of the Bay Area and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis. He continued on to the University of California, Berkeley to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2006.
During his four years at optometry school, he completed internships at Kaiser Point West in Sacramento, the Livermore Veteran Affairs Hospital and San Francisco Veteran Affairs Hospital where he received intensive training on the full scope of optometric care. He also received recognition for his work in the infant/toddler clinic at UC Berkeley Optometry.
In addition to spectacle and contact lens prescriptions, Dr. Liu is licensed to provide treatment for eye infection, inflammation, allergy, chronic dryness and the removal of foreign bodies. He is also licensed to co-manage cases where surgical intervention is necessary (LASIK, cataract extraction, etc.).
Dr. Liu enjoys being active during his time off: basketball, running, tennis, volleyball, golf and anything sports related!
Dr. Liu is fluent in Mandarin.
Tracy Ashlock, O.D. Dr. Ashlock is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Botany at Miami University of Ohio. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 2004, making her the 3rd generation of optometrists in her family. Dr. Ashlock graduated with clinical distinction in pediatrics and low vision, and was awarded for her thesis work on retinitis pigmentosa. After graduation she spent 4 years working at a busy ophthalmology and optometry private practice in Antioch, CA until the birth of her son in 2008. In addition, she continues to stay connected and involved with the School of Optometry at Berkeley by serving as a substitute clinical instructor. Dr. Ashlock is a Berkeley resident and is delighted to be serving her local community at Albany Berkley Optometry.
During her time off, Dr. Ashlock enjoys traveling to provide eye care for those especially in need. As a student, she traveled to Mexico twice with Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity. In 2005 she traveled to the Dominican Republic with Students International, and recently in August 2009 to Chennai, India with a medical team to provide optometry services to Little Flock orphanage and the surrounding village. Dr. Ashlock also loves staying active with yoga and running, and ran her first marathon in 2006. She cherishes time with family and friends, especially with her husband and 1 year old son.
Dr. Ashlock loves optometry and is dedicated to staying current on the most up to date technology and therapeutics to provide the best possible eye care available. In addition to providing comprehensive eye examinations and treating infections, inflammations, and dry eyes, she is licensed to remove foreign bodies and co-manage refractive and cataract surgeries.
